Brand consistency

Are you willing to take the risk?

This is how the Coke Olympics can has changed over the years

Are you planning to change your company’s logo? Think long and hard about this before you jump into decisions. There is something called brand consistency. A consistent brand identity makes your business seem more legitimate and make your company trustworthy. It will give your company a good impression that you know what you are doing and have a good strong team with brains who are experts.  Ask yourself how multinational brands like McDonald’s and Coke have defined logos and colours. These brand identities have become so well-known and well-remembered by their loyal customers. Make sure your logo, colours, fonts, and layout are consistent across all branded materials and advertisements.

Do you want your business to be the first thing that customers think about when they need a product or service in your industry? That goal will be hard to achieve which can take up to 30 years to be well matured.

Why is brand consistency so important?

This is where brand consistency falls into place, if you continually change your colours or logo, it will be difficult for people to remember your business when faced with several different choices. You need to pick colours and a logo that sets you apart from your competition and makes you easy to remember.

Keep this in consideration. If company A gives free gifts to their customers and gains some customers. What does your company also do the same thing? I do not recommend your company also does the same thing; hence your company didn’t get into business to be a copycat. You need to set your own path. Come up with your own ideas, better ideas. Set you standards so high that it makes it hard for your competitors to keep up. Always be ahead of them, no matter what. Be the first one to know the latest trends then let them follow.

  1. I personally think it is a good strategy to leave your company logo or name the way it is,because it will be easy to remember it if you don't keep on changing t, it might be stuck on other people's minds.

    1. I also agree with you. Imagine the risk your company will be taking if you change your logo. People might like it or they might also not like it.

  2. It is a good thing to keep your identity the same for long time or even for good. The public won't keep up with the constant changes if you constantly change and you might seem confused to your customers.

    1. I agree, it will be very hard for the customers if your company keeps on changing its logos and colours. Rather stick to one thing and focus on getting more customers and improving your company.

  5. Changing Logos is just a waste of time and money. If you keep on changing logos over and over again then it'll become boring and confusing for some. Today it's this, tomorrow it's that. If you have a logo then stick to it. All you have to do is just modify it here and there but not too much to the point were it is totally unrecognisable.
